Dream House

So I found the perfect house.. I want it... I must obtain it... Too bad it belongs to PSU and is their Alumni house and was built in 1900 and is perfect and I will NEVER have enough money to buy it :( WAAAAAA
It's the perfect size, has a porch and has many intricate details. I wish they still made houses like this. Why don't they? Why are most houses these days so boring and ugly and cheap looking?
Oh well.. I guess I will have to find something that comes close.. although I don't think that's possible!

It's upon us

School starts tomorrow the great monolith of monotony but it has to get done. Hopefully when it picks up I will have some interesting classes. ASL should be more challenging as we progress to the 200 level and it will really neat to see everyone develop and start to grasp the conversational aspects of sign. This begins the final run down towards the application process to the ITP program. This is what i've been aiming for about three years. In the end I don't know if I will end up sticking as an interpreter, maybe just as long to pay some bills down and save enough to go back to school. This term will bring a lot of changes to our home with Brynn going back to school I don't how much we will see of each other with work and school we will be in and out a lot. I can only imagine that the house will feel a lot emptier at times but we gotsta get our edumacation. For all of those going back good luck and those unlucky to be out, haha!

Glug, glug, glug

A sprinkler pipe burst at SoccerPlex due to this extreme cold snap and as the water cascaded down the stairs I wondered if I was seeing my future going down with it. Hopefully they have enough insurance to cover it and money won't be a problem because this is the type of problem that could burden a business, but since the indoor field and futsal court didn't get wet I think we will continue with business as usual. It was definitely a different atmosphere going into work today with water gushing through the ceiling and the fires alarms blaring.  I ended up canceling class which was a bummer because I had to see all the kids come in and one by one try to explain why there wouldn't be soccer today. Not to pleasant of a task (on top of the frantic race to suck up all the water creeping towards the field). But I continue to press on and I've started making plans to present the best case on why I should be in charge of developing our youth program. Started digging through they OYSA site which is full of fantastic stuff for aspiring soccer coaches which is something Trent and I have been talking about and getting nationally certified would be a tremendous step. Considering my journey into the world of soccer began in one of the Stott Center's gyms it wouldn't hurt to get some background in the game that I have grown to love. I only hope as I make the commitment to coaching that I will have to opportunity to again feel the experience the same passion I did when playing those rec teams. I have some trepidation moving forward as I've never really asked more of any of my superiors, not even a raise because I have always considered myself well paid but there is a certain point where you just want to be your own boss (or at least have some control in how things are done) in order to have to have a sense of ownership in the world.

"The blossoms on the trees today were stunning as we walked down the moonlit path." ~Clifford
So... we are pretty horrible at writing on this thing. We thought we would recap on what has happened during the last month...

~Clifford had a major crash on his longboard. It was pretty hardcore and he was scabbed for like 2 weeks. He then proceeded to pick the scabs and now he will have some gnarly scars... just like Harry Potter.

~We saw some pretty dumb summer movies this year which was very disappointing. Terminator Salvation was pretty lame especially Christian Bale.. he was a pretty lame hero. Transformers was the biggest disappointment. The plot was convoluted and the characters were lame. The transformers themselves were pretty cool.. but it was a pretty boring movie overall. We are excited about HARRY POTTER which comes out this week. It better not let us down.

~T.V. shows we are into now... This American Life... it looks into the lives of random people in America.. Its the best reality show out there. The other show we are into is Pushing Daisies. Its pretty wacky and goofy... just a nice refreshing show that makes you feel good.

~We have been enjoying the summer and the first few months of being married. Its still pretty weird to think about but we are having a great time. We walked the new bridge that connects West Salem to downtown Salem.. it was a beautiful walk and cool because a lot of the community was out walking too.

~We are preparing to move to Portland in September!! Clifford has had a couple of people respond to his resume so it looks like he will be able to find a job easily. He is getting his classes straightened out for PCC and I am in the process of applying to PSU. He kinda ruined my whole BYU-I plan!!! We are just trying to figure out where to live and when to move and all that fun stuff.. I'm kinda scared to move to Portland but excited for a new adventure as well. Its going to give us a chance to make new friends (which is scary!) and really be on our own someplace totally new.

~I painted our coffee table and side table. I am trying to make our house more homey!

~For the 4th of July we went to the beach with Trent, Angela, Brittany, Trevor and Tyler. We hung out in Lincoln City and the weather was really nice, it was warm but very foggy which was a bummer. We were right next to where they were lighting off the fireworks but it was super foggy so we hard a hard time seeing them really well. It would then get smokey and almost impossible to see them so they would wait for the wind to blow the smoke away. It was an adventure but a really fun 4th of July. And gave me a chance to really think about and be grateful for those defending our country so faithfully.

So thats it for now! We will get better we pinky promise!! :) (Edit: She pinky promises, I promise you that between now and tomorrow I will eat... that's all you're getting from me)
